2023 Penn Supplier Diversity Impact Awards Announced
Penn Procurement Services is pleased to recognize this year’s recipient of the Penn Supplier Diversity Impact Award. Now in its third year, this award honors faculty and staff who have made outstanding contributions in advancing Penn’s goals in the areas of supplier diversity and inclusion.

In an effort to promote Penn’s contracted caterers and its Catering@Penn platform, Penn Procurement Services, in collaboration with the University’s Association of Business Administrators (ABA), hosted a “Catering@Penn” tasting event on October 12 at the Annenberg Center for Performing Arts.

The University of Pennsylvania has received the Jesse L. Moore Supplier 2022 Diversity Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest print diversity and inclusion publication in higher education.
Penn Procurement Services recently released its first quarterly update on the Fueling Business Growth campaign – the University’s initiative to expand its impact in advancing supplier diversity and inclusion. The goal is to inform internal and external stakeholders on the University’s activities and impact, while continuing to make it easier for both buyers and suppliers to connect and do business. As part of Penn’s ongoing commitment to supplier diversity and inclusion, the University has introduced a pilot program to extend ‘immediate pay’ payment terms to its diversity suppliers. This new modification positively impacts approximately 1,000 suppliers that do business with Penn (minority, woman, veteran, LGBTQ+, and other classifications) that qualify as diverse suppliers.
